New Malibu High School

As the 2025–26 school year begins, students and staff at Malibu High School are stepping into a newly completed campus designed to inspire learning, collaboration and creativity.

The transformation of Malibu High School will continue, building upon the progress already made to create innovative, student-centered spaces that inspire learning and growth. These enhancements will not only modernize classrooms and facilities, but also foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. With state-of-the-art technology, flexible learning environments, and spaces designed to support both academic and social-emotional development, Malibu High School will empower students to thrive today while preparing them for the opportunities of tomorrow. This renewed investment ensures that the school remains at the forefront of educational excellence and innovation for years to come.

Malibu Middle School Phase 2

With the support of Bond Measure MM , approved by voters in November 2024, phase 2 of the Malibu campus plan is in design and will begin construction in spring 2026.

Phase 2 will include the middle school hub building and a new gymnasium. The hub building will provide an innovation and filming lab, food service and outdoor eating area, a special education/life skills suite and a new wellness center.

The new middle school gymnasium and multipurpose room will be constructed with locker rooms and a dance/yoga studio. Outside there will be fitness opportunities including a rock-climbing slope, bouldering and a slide.

Malibu Middle School Phase 3a

Phase 3a, also supported by Bond Measure MM, will provide a new aquatics center featuring a 40-meter pool with bleachers, separate locker rooms for students and the community, team room and sports spaces. Construction on this project will involve demolition of the old high school building and art building and removal of portable classrooms.
